As we’re currently in the midst of a massive tour with Helloween, we’ll continue performing as a four-piece for a few shows until we find the right guitarist to join our ranks.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to Kasperi for a decade filled with Heavy Metal and unforgettable memories. Since we’re in the middle of a tour, we won’t be commenting further at this time - but we’re looking forward to rocking out with all of you, our Beasts, louder than ever!

But in simple terms, the song is a sort of a subconscious dialogue between Nobody and his behelit, mirroring one another."

In the beginning of 2024, after two and a half years without having any new material out, we decided to squeeze a bit more out from our latest album, Dark Connection, instead of going on a break to write the new one. We joined forces with Gloryhammer and went on our biggest European tour so far, hitting and selling out 2000-4000 capacity venues. We didn’t know what to expect but the success of this tour dispelled all our preliminary worries. With this, we understood that we've established such a huge and loyal fan base that we can count on anytime. This discovery made the rest of the year easy and relaxed until we stopped playing shows in the end of the summer, and began to focus on writing and recording the new material. ... - Embarked on our biggest European tour so far, together with co-headliner Gloryhammer and special guest Brothers Of Metal. The “Glory and the Beast” tour had 21 shows through 14 countries and 12 of these shows were SOLD OUT!
- Played two shows in a row in Tokyo, Japan, at an event called “Two Nights For Love”.
- Had 18 summer shows at big festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Sweden Rock, Nova Rock and Bloodstock - all with main stage performances.
- Released an electrifying EuroBeast standalone single Power Of The Beast.
- Released "Power Of The Beast" in physical format through our Japanese partner Ward Records, along with three live tracks from our latest performance in Japan.
- Released another upgraded version of the "One Night in Tokyo" video game, including a brand-new level.
- Announced a European tour with Helloween in late 2025.

To be honest, this was a bonus year for us, in which we enjoyed a little extra touring and the great summer festivals without big responsibilities. We bathed in the success, so to speak.
And finally, after five years, we dare to use our old motto again: “As long as you are with us, we can get stronger and stronger year by year! “
At the moment, we are working hard on the fourth Beast In Black album, and we are planning to release it in late 2025. However, we don’t force the creation of art; it comes when it comes. But at least, the conditions are created for the making of brave new material!

Mate's new bass guitar, the "Beast" just debuted in our latest music video, Power Of The Beast! This is his fourth signature model created by the Slovakian handcrafted instruments manufacturing company, GV Guitars. The bass represents the band's symbol, the Beast.

Anton Kabanen comments: “'Power Of The Beast' takes us one step further in showcasing our passion towards high energy music, unstoppable beats, solid melodies, (synth)riffs and a meaningful message. It's dedicated to everyone who's in need of encouragement, motivation, determination and inner strength to aspire onward. ... See more The message of the song is like the unyielding attitude and empowering resolution of Guts, the protagonist from the manga "Berserk". That said, the lyrics are indeed a hybrid based off "Berserk" and my own lifeview and experiences.
With musical influences heavily permeated by the so called Super Eurobeat, which I have absorbed through the years, I think it's fairly justified - but obviously with a tongue in cheek - to describe this song as Super Eurobeast! It's the first of its kind but we promise you it's definitely not gonna be the last!”

Music video director Katri Koppanen tells about her inspiration for the video: “I began working on the music video script when only fragments of the lyrics were available, and Anton had just a few initial ideas about the song text. Even in the early stages, it was clear that the song's message was going to be empowering and energetic, which resonated with me, especially given how dark, chaotic, and overwhelming the world has become in recent years. Quite often, I catch myself missing the innocence of movies from the 80s and 90s, where bad guys always got what they deserved. Inspired by that, I wanted to create something fun based on my favorite movies from that era-something that leaves you in a good mood at the end.”

In 2022, after forgetting about the pandemic finally; fans visited as many shows and festivals as they could. Our biggest fear was that people will run out of money for 2023 and they will have to choose between attending to shows or going on holiday or even putting food to the table. Luckily, our fears never got confirmed, as we had a kick ass start of 2023 with our biggest and longest European tour so far and with such a great success which we didn’t expect beforehand. And this flow continued through the whole year; on the summer festivals, in Japan and on our second North American tour too! ... See more We:

- Returned to Damien Dausch to shoot a music video for Blade Runner, the opening track of ’Dark Connection’ album.
- Conquered Europe with 44 shows through 21 countries on the Dark Connection Tour with special guests Firewind. 25 of these shows got SOLD OUT!
- Played two shows in a row in Tokyo, Japan. One got SOLD OUT and the other one was close too.
- Had 17 summer shows at big festivals like Summer Breeze Brazil, ProgPower USA, Hellfest, and Graspop - all with main stage performances.
- Released To The Last Drop Of Blood music video, a powerful song from ‘Dark Connection’ album.
- Released an upgraded version of One Night in Tokyo video game
- Did our second North American tour called “Back in North America” with special guests Dance with the Dead. Out of 31 shows nine got SOLD OUT!
- Announced a double headlining tour with Gloryhammer in early 2024! 21 shows in 14 countries. The "Glory and the Beast" tour will also include support from Brothers Of Metal.
- Announced two shows in Japan, which is planned to be extended to a short Asian tour for the first time in the band's life.

So now it looks things went back to normal and we are again on the glorious path which we were forced to leave three years ago.
Our motto changed according to these experiences: “Never give up and never stop fulfilling your dreams!”
It may sound a bit cliché but there were times when these words really helped to carry on. In the first half of 2024 we will still do some tours and festivals but after that we will start the preparations for the fourth Beast In Black album, finally.

There are not enough words or emotions to sum up how amazing the Dark Connection European Tour was: 44 dates through 21 countries, so many of them sold out, and a lot of “firsts” for us! 2022 started in the shadow of the pandemic. International tours still got postponed, however, more and more domestic shows could happen with some restrictions and with limited audience. And the world slowly started to open up and bands could continue living their dreams. - Announced a special event to present ’Dark Connection’ album in Japan. After New Year’s Eve we didn’t really dare to think of such a great and complete year for the band and we just hope those dreary times will never come back anymore.
We again changed our motto and actually we are going back to the motto which we used after founding the band: “The Beast is back!”
The Beast is back, stronger than ever and in 2023 we will spread our wings even wider to tame some new lands where we have never been before. So next year will be about massive touring around the world. More tours will be announced soon.

Hardcore music video was chosen for the Berlin Music Video Awards in the Silver Screenings selection among other excellent videos. It will be screened at the festival on the 9th of June.
BMVA is one of the most well-known music video festivals, so we truly feel honoured to be part of it this year.

Our first North American tour successfully ended yesterday.
20 headline shows with some sold out venues and 11 great gigs with Nightwish. We couldn’t have wished for a better start. One thing is for sure now, the Beast will be back in North America!

KENTARO MIURA 1966-2021

Today, it’s been exactly one year since the untimely passing of Kentaro Miura. Here are a few personal thoughts from Anton.
“We all hurt, we all break, we all feel sorrow and profound pain, ... See more for that’s the price of being fragile and delicate. But with this same fragility and delicacy we may open ourselves to kindness, gentleness, joy, understanding, empathy, caring, longing and love. I believe Kentaro Miura knew this very well, as he imbued his characters of Berserk with these qualities, and complex yet accessible emotional depths. He knew how to make hearts beat, and how to make souls resonate, because he could feel it. This is what made Berserk meaningful to me, and undoubtedly to many other devoted admirers as well. Hence we, Beast In Black, aimed to prepare something unique to encapsulate the warmer and gentler side of Kentaro’s humanly vulnerable characters.
With eternal love and respect for Kentaro Miura, we proudly present you: BROKEN SURVIVORS!”

In the beginning, 2021 was the year of new hopes; but in the end, it turned into a huge disaster, which made people pessimistic regarding the future. - Released ”Moonlight Rendezvous”, the first music video of ’Dark Connection’ album, which gained its first one million views on YouTube in less than two weeks after the release
- Released "One Night In Tokyo", the second music video of ’Dark Connection’ album and our first pixel-animated video
- Released "Hardcore", the third music video of ’Dark Connection’ album, which couldn’t reach fans in great numbers on YouTube (with new regulations) because of its explicit content
- Released our 3rd full length album, ’Dark Connection’
- Achieved a Platinum award for the great sales of ‘Berserker’ album, and Gold award for the great sales of ‘From Hell With Love’ album
- Launched a video game based on our pixel-animated music video, in the style of the original arcade games
- Reached great positions with the new album on international charts (No.1 in Finland)
- Have been nominated for EMMA-Gaala award, which is the Finnish Grammy; decision comes in February 2022
- Won the “Best Music Video of the Month” competition at Top Shorts festival with ”Moonlight Rendezvous” music video
- Signed merchandising deal with BRAVADO
- Announced our first headline tour in the USA for spring 2022, which is our first-ever tour over there
- Announced a USA tour with Nightwish, which will happen right after our USA headline tour
- Announced an EU arena tour with Nightwish for 2022 autumn
- Announced many big festival shows for summer 2022, almost always for main stages or/and in headlining position

We couldn't imagine how this year could be worse than 2020 was, and in the end only the new album release saved our negative feelings! To top our sorrows up, Kentaro Miura, the author of Berserk series passed away too. He had the biggest influence on Beast In Black so we dedicated our new album to him.
Our motto changed for this new situation:
“Stay strong as a beast and fight like a storm till we meet again and never give up your dreams!”

Mate's new bass guitar, the "Devil" is ready for action! This is his third signature model created by his long time sponsors, GV Guitars. This brand new one has the weirdest shape so far, representing a devil which is steering a yellow soup in a black cauldron.

Happier New Year!

Hard to recall any good moments in 2020 from the band’s perspective.
However, it could have been worse, like for all those bands which released their new album in spring when this nightmare just started.... See more They didn’t get the chance to present it to their fans or to gather new ones with it. Or others had to stop their tour in the middle of it when clubs closed down. So we were on the lucky side if we look at this side of the coin.
For this year we planned to record the 3rd Beast In Black album, maybe even to release it if we are fast enough with the production. We planned to have our first tour in the USA, our first shows in Mexico and some festivals in headlining position for the first time.
We understood invisible powers rule the world nowadays which made us to change our motto to fit it better to the recent situation: “We are made of metal and nothing can kill us!”
So once it is possible, we are back to you with a kickass new album and with magical live shows around the world! Take it as a promise ;)

- Finished our first headline tour which reached seven countries, and 21 out of 31 shows were SOLD OUT
- Went back to Japan to play several shows, but for the first time as a headliner
- Hit the stages of the biggest summer festivals like Sweden Rock, Graspop, Bang Your Head, Summer Breeze, and more
- Played our first North American show at Heavy Montreal festival in Montreal, Canada
- Did our first shows in Russia as a headliner
- Have been nominated for Music Moves Europe Talent Awards; the decision comes in January 2020
- Did our first tour in the UK as a special guest for Gloryhammer. Six out of eight shows were SOLD OUT
- Finished the second leg of our first headline tour which this time reached 12 countries and eight out of 19 shows were SOLD OUT
- Released the "CRY OUT FOR A HERO" live music video from the new album
- Atte signed an endorsement deal with Sihi cymbals
- Have been nominated for EMMA Gaala in "Best Metal Album" category
- Reached 10 million views on Youtube for "BORN AGAIN" lyric video in exactly two years
- Got our first gold record for the Finnish sales of 'Berserker' album
- Played our first Arena show for 4500 fans with stage decoration and pyro in the Icehall Arena, Helsinki, Finland
- Announced our performance at Wacken Open Air festival in 2020
- Announced a short arena tour in Russia as special guests for Nightwish in May 2020
- Announced our first tour on the North American continent including 30 shows as special guests for Hammerfall on their “Dominion" tour in the autumn of 2020
- Announced our first concert in Mexico at Dominion festival, Mexico City in May 2020
- Announced some big festival shows for 2020 summer and more announcements are constantly on their way…

To be honest, we couldn't exactly imagine how to top our previous year, but by the looks of it, we somehow managed to do it in every possible aspect!
The motto is unchanged: as long as you are with us, we can get stronger and stronger year by year!
In 2020 we will leave our footprints in some untamed lands and spread our wings as widely as we can, to reach as many fans as it’s just humanly possible. We have already started the preparations for the third Beast In Black album. If everything goes according to plan, we can proudly release it by the end of the year.
Looks like 2020 certainly promises adventures, so let’s enjoy the ride together!

- Released our second music video "SWEET TRUE LIES", which gathered 770,000 views on Youtube in one month
- Announced February 8, 2019 as the release date of our 2nd album "From Hell With Love"
- Announced our first European headlining tour entitled "From Hell With Love tour" including 30 shows for spring 2019

Well, that’s what we call big steps forward, but the motto is still the same:
As long as you are with us, we are stronger and stronger year by year!
2019 will show the band’s real strength. All headlining tours are always big risks, especially the very first one. Although the ticket pre-sales are surprisingly great so far and some venues are SOLD OUT already, we have to entertain the audience for longer than ever and make you feel hungry for more after the end of the shows. That’s the real challenge now but we are looking forward to it!

After this great summer we proudly announce to you Beast In Black has been nominated for this year's Metal Hammer Awards in "Best Debut Album" category!
The ceremony takes place on Friday, September 14 in Berlin.

This summer was hot, indeed! :) Unfortunately, it came to an end, but thanks to everyone who joined us at the shows! This was our first full festival season (18 shows in total) and we felt your love every night.

Atte Palokangas joins Beast In Black family on drums!

Sami stated:
"Ladies and gentlemen, I regret to inform you that I will no longer be able to fulfill my duty as the drummer of Beast In Black.
Due to new circumstances in my life, I'm not able to take part in the upcoming shows nor tours and I feel the band, especially in its early stages, requires a drummer who will be able to give his absolute hundred percent for the band.
In addition to that, as some of you may know, I've had some issues with my left hand, making drumming sometimes extremely difficult and painful. It has something to do with the nerve system, resulting in my left hand going all numb and powerless - much like the tennis elbow. This would constantly make it hard for me to rehearse and eventually slow the band down.
Let me continue by saying there was and will not be any bad blood between me and the rest of the band. I love all the guys in the band and wish them all the best with their future endeavors.
Without further ado, please give a warm welcome for Mr. Atte Palokangas, the new drummer of BIB. He is an absolute BEAST of a drummer and a perfect fit for the band."

Atte commented:
"I'm honored, excited and thankful for this opportunity! I can't wait for the future adventures with the guys!"

Happy New Year!

For us, 2017 was an unforgettable year:
- We signed with Nuclear Blast Records, the best metal label in the world
- Released our very first music video "Blind And Frozen" which has more than 2,2 million views already in less than 4 months... See more
- Signed a management deal with Till Dawn They Count Ltd
- Released our debut album, "Berserker"
- Signed a booking deal with Contra Promotion GmbH and Fullsteam Agency
- Went on tour with W.A.S.P., although it ended sooner than expected
- Supported Beyond the Black in Germany for two weeks; we had nice memories and had a great time together, which made the band's spirit even stronger.
- Announced tons of summer festivals for 2018 and a short Japan run.
- Announced a tour for spring supporting the reunited Rhapsody...

Well, can we expect better for next year? YES, of course!!!!
As long as you are with us, we are stronger and stronger year by year. 2018 will be a “MURDER” for us, as our management says.
Some great things are not announced yet, but be sure, we will go everywhere we can to unleash the Beast!

See more The band with former Battle Beast guitarist Anton Kabanen will release their debut album titled "Berserker", in November. Its cover artwork marks the return of the collaboration between Anton and Roman Ismailov who was the original illustrator and graphic artist for BATTLE BEAST. Additionally the band can proudly announce that they have signed a worldwide record deal with the famous heavy metal powerhouse Nuclear Blast. Anton Kabanen stated: "Our wildest dreams came true when we made a deal with Nuclear Blast, the biggest and the best heavy metal label in the world! We are thrilled about our debut album release in November and besides the massive anthem-like heavy metal songs we'll promise unforgettable live shows all around the world as we unleash the "Berserker" album!"

The five-piece, Helsinki based heavy metal band BEAST IN BLACK was founded by Anton Kabanen soon after he had parted ways with BATTLE BEAST in 2015. By the end of 2015 the band played their first gig as opening act for NIGHTWISH. The making of "Berserker" was already in progress back then and it was completed in summer 2017. A deal was signed with Nuclear Blast almost immediately after the completion of the album.

"Berserker" continues in the style of Anton's previously composed works which include the first three BATTLE BEAST albums. One of the essential themes on this debut album is the Japanese manga and anime "Berserk".

Our debut album got its final touches from Mika Jussila in Finnvox studios!

While working hard on our debut album, we received an invitation to the biggest Finnish metal event, Tuska Festival!
This is currently the only Beast In Black show scheduled for this year, so if you want to see the band on stage in 2016, be there!
